The role will be based in the Firm's Silicon Valley office. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who takes initiative and is able to work independently and as part of a team. The Attorney Development Coordinator will coordinate all attorney development initiatives and related programs, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Attorney onboarding/integration
  • Staffing
  • Mentoring
  • Performance management
  • Career development ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Collaborate with the Attorney Development Department on West Coast staffing matters to (a) identify available attorneys to be staffed on matters with the requisite skill set for a given assignment, (b) ensure that associates are fully utilized, have the opportunity to work on a variety of matters with different partners, and achieve progress toward their development goals and (c) to create and maintain systems to accomplish (a) and (b) in an efficient and equitable manner by leveraging technology resources.
    • Collaborate with Talent team members and other firm business operations leaders on attorney orientation and integration.
    • Schedule check-in meetings with attorneys.
    • Support the Firm's Mentoring Program.
    • Support the Firm's performance management processes.
    • Create and disseminate tools for associates to manage their career development.
    • Collaborate with Attorney Development team and other departments across the firm to continually evaluate and enhance firm processes and systems for greater efficiency and quality.
    • Work on special department or Firm projects as needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
      • Bachelor's degree.
      • Has at least two years of experience coordinating attorney development activities in a law firm; or equivalent combination of education and experience in attorney development or a related field.
      • Exhibits strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
        • Possesses the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and possess excellent written, organizational and communication skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
        • Displays strong technology skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
        • Exhibits sound judgment, the ability to foster an inclusive work environment and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
          • Experience with viGlobal modules. Status
            • Full Time, Non-Exempt The expected starting salary for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
