This is a fixed-term position. Stanford University seeks people

administrative policies, infrastructure, systems, services, and
support for the benefit of the university community. - Financial
Management Services (FMS), a department within Business Affairs, is
responsible for creating an ecosystem which promotes innovative and
sound financial administration policies and practices that balance
controls, compliance, and customer service. FMS is primarily
responsible for financial policy oversight, quality assurance and
financial services at Stanford University and its affiliated
entities. It also serves as a liaison to the hospitals and the
Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). The FMS work environment

can thrive. JOB PURPOSE: Performroutinerisk
managementfunctionsand/oractivitiesrequiringknowledgeandapplicationofinternalpolicies,externalregulations,
precedents, and systems. May serve as liaison for a key risk area
ordepartment/unit. CORE DUTIES :
- Triage, analyze, and assess risks throughout the third-party
lifecycle. Identify risks and facilitate their management
consistent with organizational priorities, internal and external
requirements, and best practices.
- Identify, investigate, and remediate discrepancies in supplier
records and engagements, including verifying and validating
transactions.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance
of the organization's third-party risk management program,
including its supporting tools and procedures.
- Conduct issue analysis and resolution and recognize exceptions.
Participate in developing solutions that may require policy changes
or the development of new processes; maintain broader
organizational perspective in decision making.
- Execute internal control programs established by management,
research new regulations, and implement approved changes.
Specialize in an area of responsibility and create compliance
reports.
- Perform analyses of large complex data sets and engagements.
Identify and resolve issues which may span multiple areas.
- Construct and assemble data for risk analysis and decision
making; develop conclusions and present high-level summary of
findings. May develop risk summaries or analyses for individual
departments/units.
- Contribute to reports and presentations of complex supplier and
risk data and metrics for management and third parties.
- Participate as a member of a project team; support new
initiatives. Inform decisions determining approach to managing and
completing processes. Contribute to unit and organization strategy;
assist in the development of change management plans and materials
as needed.
- Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process
documentation for area of responsibility.
- Participate in critical analysis of existing systems and
processes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide consulting advice to client group(s); serve as a
resource on matters within area of responsibility and support
transactions with external partners. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant
experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as
Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of
financial systems, internet, and computer literacy.
- Familiarity with common risk frameworks and risk assessment
methodologies.
- Basic investigatory, audit, and/or assessment skills,
especially as relates to financials, fraud, legal/regulatory
compliance, incident response, or similar domains.
- Strong communication skills, including ability to prepare
materials for, and clearly and effectively communicate technically
complex information to, internal and external audiences and client
groups.
- Basic project management skills and ability to contribute as
part of a multi-functional team. Certifications and Licenses: None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS *:
- Constantly sitting.
- Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, use telephone,
writing by hand, sort/file paperwork. Occasionally stand/walk,
lift/carry objects weighing 11-20 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Routine extended working hours during peak cycles; travel to

is open to candidates anywhere in the United States with periodic
visits to campus. Stanford University has five Regional Pay
Structures . The compensation for this position will be based on
the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range
for this position is $64,000 to $87,000 per annum. Stanford
University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate
of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on
factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities
of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate,
departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic
location and external market pay for comparable jobs. The job
