Alation is seeking a Public Relations Director to join our Corporate Marketing team. This individual is a communications expert with serious writing skills, a desire for project ownership, and a proven record of generating high-impact earned media at a rapidly scaling company. This role requires management experience, a broad knowledge of public relations strategy and practice, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage/own multiple projects and PR agencies at once. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, an outstanding writer and communicator, and has proven expertise in technology public relations.

The Director, Public Relations' role is remote and will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing and will manage the Social Media and Communications Manager. - You will be part of a team that's defining the category of data intelligence solutions and play an integral role in communicating Alation's value proposition and reputation. This individual will develop and implement communications and thought leadership programs that enhance and expand Alation's brand awareness, as well as the reputations of our executive team. This seasoned communications professional has 10 years of experience in enterprise software and understands and has developed compelling content in previous in-house and PR agency roles. This role is highly visible within the organization and is an exciting opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our executive leadership team. You have experience working with global PR agencies to achieve a steady drumbeat of A+ media coverage, drive thought leadership campaigns and showcase product innovation, our customers' success, and our incredible company culture. - - - -
