General Description: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Disposables will participate and influence the design & development of complex medical robotic systems and associated accessories. The engineer is expected to be self-motivated, influence design for manufacturability, and transfer the product from Research and Development into manufacturing including setting up of the manufacturing line.
Responsibilities:

• Develops and Improves manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
• Working with Vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Troubleshoot subassembly and assemblies during the manufacturing process, including electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced start-up environment with minimal supervision and guidance.
• 
  Requirements:
  • At least 5-7 years' experience assembling medical devices, robotics or automation systems with a bachelor's degree in related engineering fields or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with PLM software, ISO 13485, and FDA GMP required.
  • Experiences in product sterilization, cleanroom working environment, and cad experiences preferred.
  • Familiarity with six sigma, quality systems, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus
  • Good communications skills, good interpersonal skills, and team oriented.
