Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Electrical Engineer you must be capable of working at a fast-paced startup in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. In this role you will lead design of electronic power and control systems for our proprietary industrial automation equipment in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements. This role offers ample leadership growth opportunities while working side-by-side with an incredible team to operationalize extraordinary, world-changing new technologies.
In this role you will:

  • Own the design, prototype, manufacturing and assembly of in-house electronics equipment and cabinets
  • Design new or modify existing assemblies to be compliant with UL standards and lead certification effort
  • Team lead in safe and standard compliant assembly of electronics, training others to work using safety protocols
  • Design power distribution systems, harnessing, logical and physical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Select and integrate control systems components
  • Perform panel layout considering safety, ease of install and maintenance, and optimal wire and cable routing
  • Work with manufacturing engineers and external vendors to ensure efficient manufacturing and high production quality
  • Cross-functional collaboration with software, mechanical, and integration engineering teams
  • Collaboration with contract manufacturers for prototyping activities and production
    What We're Looking For
    • BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent
    • 5+ years of professional work experience
    • Experience with power electronics, control panels, automation equipment (servo motors, sensors, relays etc) and electromechanical wiring, bring-up and troubleshooting
    • Experience in prototype and manufacturing to UL standards
    • Previous experience in bringing control panels to UL 508A certification
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
      What we'd love to see
      • Hands-on lab experience such as soldering, and experience with lab equipment (power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
      • Experience with robotics, motors and other electromechanical components
      • Experience in PCBA design and manufacturing, board level component selection, bring up and test
