Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility

take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility

What we do:
The Senior Cloud Engineer designs, deploys, and administers
cloud-based solutions in Azure. The role ensures the cloud systems
adhere to organizational, industry, and security standards. An
in-depth understanding of Azure services, including computer,
storage, networking, and security are applied in the role.
What you can do:
- Design, deploy and maintain complex Azure-based infrastructure
and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze
requirements for cloud-based projects
- Working with consultants and vendors on projects and/or for
additional support
- Manage and optimize our data analytics infrastructure
(Databricks and Snowflake), including monitoring, troubleshooting,
and maintaining high availability
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as
code templates for deploying Azure resources
- Assisting with advanced support related to our Azure
environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure-based
infrastructure and applications
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
to ensure compliance with industry standards in collaboration with
our security team
- Manage and monitor Azure resources, including virtual machines,
storage accounts, and network components
- Routinely review and suggest improvements to our Azure
environment
- Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity
strategies
- Act as a mentor to other cloud engineers and provide technical
guidance and support
- Other duties as assigned What you can contribute:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a
related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT infrastructure
management and engineering, with a focus on Azure (an equivalent
combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Azure DevOps,
Bitbucket, and Jenkins
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration
technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience managing Databricks and Snowflake
infrastructure
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP,
DNS, VPN, and load balancing
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting
languages
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute,
storage, networking, and security services
- Proficiency in Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure
CLI
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns, such as
microservices, serverless, and hybrid cloud
- Experience with Azure database services such as Azure SQL
Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB
- Experience deploying and managing Azure Load Balancer and Azure
Application Gateway
- Experience in cost optimization in Azure
- Strong understanding and experience with management access and
permissions in Azure (IAM)
- Experience working with compliance standards such as EAR and
ITAR are a big plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with
strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical
collaborators
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to independently prioritize and
accomplish work within time constraints
- Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality You may also be

- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions
Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, are
preferred
- Familiarity with other major cloud providers is always a plus

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience,
job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible
for a bonus as part of total compensation.
The pay range for this position is:
$166,400 $232,960 USD
