Job Description - Senior Director of UX (210001XC) Job Description Senior Director of UX - 210001XC Applicants are required to read, write, and speak the following languages : English Preferred Qualifications Brand Experience Design - Senior Director, UX The Sr. Director of UX is responsible for defining the strategic design direction of Oracle.com to support Oracle's marketing initiatives . As a team leader, your core responsibility will be managing the day-to-day operations of the user experience team while collaborating closely with development and publishing teams to own oracle.com. You will be expected to grow and inspire a team that executes your vision across all major digital platforms. This role requires an appetite to respectfully challenge the status quo, the desire and focus to usher in change and the drive to build THE premier user experience team.--We are in the middle of a massive transformation with the goal of becoming the trusted, world leader in cloud-based systems and software.     • Build and lead a centralized user experience team including attracting and retaining key talent.
    • Align UX work between internal team and external agencies to ensure consistency with outside agency resources.
    • Evolve the Redwood Brand Platform across Oracle.com.
    • Deliver assets and creative solutions that map to our organizational goals, are as functional as they are well-designed, and are differentiated in the market.
    • Support the VP of Brand Experience and collaborate seamlessly with other creative leaders and colleagues to ensure positive results in the work and culture. Preferred Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will be a team builder, team player and a leader with the personal drive, passion and enthusiasm to navigate a global company in a quickly evolving marketplace.
      • 10+ years of UX experience, with substantial exposure to a wide variety of disciplines and channels including online advertising, video, social and interactive multimedia to amplify brand strategy and storytelling.
      • Ability to think creatively and conceptually, both visually and editorially, to identify the most compelling ways to achieve business objectives through outstanding creative output.
      • 5+ years as a UX leader in an in-house and/or agency environment.
      • Inspiring team builder who prides her/himself on collaboration and leadership skills - ability to bring amazing people together to make amazing things happen.
      • Highly knowledgeable in the website development processes and lives in the forefront of innovative design trends and technologies.
      • Experience using customer insights and data to drive UX strategies.
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with frequent interruption and changing priorities.
      • Extraordinary sense of aesthetics - a trendsetter, but not trendy.
      • Ability to develop innovative web experiences.
      • Consumer oriented with the ability to live and breathe the brand through the customers' world.
      • Positive attitude - brings a " what if" mindset.
      • Strategic and analytically driven; understands that great experiences are the perfect blend of logic and magic.
      • Proven success in the high-tech industry. Detailed Description and Job Requirements Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
        
        As a Senior Director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.
        
        Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
