These tests fuel development of its LUNAR program, which aims to address the needs of early stage cancer patients with neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment selection, cancer survivors with surveillance, asymptomatic individuals eligible for cancer screening and individuals at a higher risk for developing cancer with early detection.

Job Description

In this role, youll support the East Coast BioPharma Business Development team to grow Guardant Healths biopharma business. Youll play a key role in developing and maintaining existing customers while also building new customer relationships and supporting the initiation and development of new accounts.

Youll work closely with drug development companies to build partnerships using ctDNA based clinical trial services for biomarker discovery and development. Youll manage new account onboarding activities including, lead generation, CRM data entry, due diligence and contracting while also supporting strategic account initiatives, identifying and making new connections.

You will guide and educate potential partners, including biomarker researchers, translational medicine scientists and clinical development teams and support the East Coast BioPharma Business Development Directors with identifying new Companion Diagnostic opportunities as they arise from the clinical trial services and data produced by Guardant collaborations.

As well as being externally focused, youll be well connected internally to address customer needs, working across functions to solve problems, find solutions and deliver an outstanding customer experience. Groups youll interact with regularly include Research Operations, Alliance Management, Bioinformatics, Quality, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Finance.

Collaboration is a key success factor. Youll partner and problem solve with people across the research, clinical and business groups, must be able to influence and shape opinions and help teams reach decisions and deliver on customers needs.


You have prior sales, business development, or consulting experience, scientific or business degree, and ideally have worked within biopharma, sequencing, diagnostics, CROs, or in a related life sciences area. Knowledge of Oncology therapeutic landscape and clinical trial development highly desired. Diagnostic experience strongly preferred.

You have a strong desire to develop and close, successful, cross-functional collaborations, and bring in repeat business from multiple customers.

You are independent and self-starting, and will pro-actively chase leads and opportunities, but also work with the team to build and support processes and bring the best of the company to a customer.

You can build and service multiple leads simultaneously, balancing emerging relationships with on-going ones, addressing needs on time.

You are able to tease apart customers needs and motivations, and can successfully influence them. You have strong presentation skills, are good at problem solving and have a good analytic skillset.

You are motivated to grow the business, not just your patch, and see the broader team succeed. You are able to prioritize and focus on the important, not just the urgent.

East coast location strongly preferred
