What Is Growth Product Ops

Growth Product Operations, or Growth Product Ops, is a role within the Growth product team that facilitates the communication and sharing of data insights between departments. It's a critical role to help the cross-functional growth product team work effectively and efficiently with growth and marketing teams.

Growth product managers are paired with growth product ops and together they decide what growth features to build. PM's own the development of the product feature, while Growth Product Ops handles the day-to-day gathering of data and supplying the PM with the tools and information they need to develop the product. In addition, Growth Product Ops helps with identifying and leading new opportunities and revenue drivers while ensuring the product is working properly and continuously optimizes post launch.

Job Description

We're looking for an exceptional Growth Product Ops Manager to join a small, agile team to define and execute exciting new ways for people to discover Poshmark. As a Growth Product Ops Manager, you will help drive user growth, scale acquisition channels and optimize marketing efficiency. The role requires technical knowledge, structured problem-solving skills, and sound product judgment. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, who has a passion for solving problems.

The Role
Partner with the Growth, Product and Engineering teams to implement new features and test internal tools and processes
Monitor and analyze existing metrics and partner with internal team members to identify opportunities for improvement
Make data-driven decisions and be able to leverage data as an input to growth strategy
Focus on operational efficiencies of existing processes, perform analysis of datasets, and conduct regular data validation
Identify and triage bugs and escalate them to the appropriate teams to ensure growth channels are running smoothly
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure visibility across the organization

Desired Skills And Experience
BS/BA required, MBA preferred
4-5+ years growth/marketing operations experience preferably at a consumer internet, mobile gaming, consulting, or advertising firm
Experience in creating strategy roadmap and revenue models for new growth product initiatives, conceptualizing, pitching, executing end-to-end and evaluating effectiveness
Experience rolling out high growth initiatives, taking the lead on identification of opportunity, estimating impact of the opportunity, getting buy-in from leadership, and executing it end-to-end
Experience in testing new features and creating go-to-market strategies
Operational support for new user and retained user initiatives, SEO, and international expansion. Superior growth-mindset and organizational skills with impeccable follow-through on tasks
Intermediate to advanced SQL coding skills. Need to be able to pull your own big volume data, process it, create visualizations and reports and analyze trends
Ability to monitor multiple project schedules simultaneously, identify risks, and clearly communicate goals to project partners--leading cross functional teams
Strong prioritization and problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Passion for Poshmark's mission and the unique intersection of social and marketplace
Must have excellent written and communication skills and be extremely detail oriented
Experience with performance marketing channels like Facebook, Google Shopping, Instagram, SnapChat is a plus
Experience in a user acquisition focused role with a heavy focus on data analytics, optimization, and reporting a very strong plus
