Overall Responsibilities

  • The Manager, Franchise Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) is a key member of the ETHICON Franchise HEMA team within the Johnson & Johnson Medical Device HEMA Center of Excellence.
  • The Manager, FHEMA will develop and support global health economics and market access tactical plans for Wound Closure and Healing platform and the Biosurgery platform.
  • The Manger, FHEMA will work with the Director and Regional HEMA partners to ensure that regional market access requirements are understood and built into the product development strategy through Target Product Profiles and Value Propositions that reflect the needs of non-clinical customers.
  • The Manager, FHEMA will work with the Director and the North America Field Team to support evidence dissemination, reimbursement and market access activities to advance the commercial and scientific goals of the supported platforms.
  • The Manager, FHEMA design, develop, and source tools and economic instruments that can be adapted for coordinated delivery to key decision makers

    Position Duties & Responsibilities
    • Development and execute evidence strategies for critical growth products to support global market access and adoption - including effective use of real-world data sources.
    • Develop robust value propositions and value communication framework for pipeline product(s) to meet the requirements of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
    • Develop scientific publications, and present relevant HEMA evidence at national and international clinical and economic conferences.

      Qualifications

      Required Functional and Technical Competencies:
      • Understanding/experience & business acumen of the healthcare field (Required)
      • HEMA experience in one or more areas critical to the medical device organization (Required)
      • HEOR techniques including but not limited to development and dissemination of literature reviews, budget impact models, value briefs and value dossiers (Required)
      • Strong cross-functional leadership, presentation, communication, and consulting skills (Required)
      • Knowledge of global medical device reimbursement systems (Preferred)
      • Understanding of and experience in Health Technology Assessment (Preferred)

        Qualifications - External
        • At least 1 plus years of relevant experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare consulting business (Required)
        • A minimum of a Master's degree in a HEMA relevant discipline (Required)
        • Experience in planning and executing health economic and outcomes research studies from concept through publication including management of research vendors or consultants (Preferred)
        • Understanding of medical care delivery systems, reimbursement, market access conditions, and health policy trends in major global markets (Required)
        • Knowledge of evidence requirements that impact reimbursement and market access (Preferred)
        • Ability to work with minimal supervision from strategy development through to execution and value creation in a dynamic organization (Preferred)

              Travel Requirement: Up to 20%

              Location: This role is located: Raritan, New Jersey (Primary); Cincinnati, Ohio; Redwood City, California; Possible consideration for remote work within the United States. Work location is flexible if approved by the company.

              The base pay range for this position is $106k to $160k. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
