Job Description:
PROCEPT-- BioRobotics is a surgical robotics company enabling
better patient care by developing transformative solutions in
urology. With an initial focus on BPH, the company---s AQUABEAM--
Robotic System delivering Aquablation therapy, is the first
FDA-cleared, automated surgical robot for the treatment of lower
urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia
(BPH). Aquablation therapy combines real-time, multi-dimensional
imaging, automated robotics and heat-free waterjet ablation for
targeted, controlled, and immediate removal of prostate tissue.
Aquablation therapy offers predictable and reproducible outcomes,
independent of prostate anatomy, prostate size or surgeon
experience. Summary As we grow and streamline our manufacturing
operations, we need to bring on-board a Production Manager to
manage our 2nd shift operations. The ideal candidate will excel in
a demanding and fast-paced environment where they will work as part
of a strong, agile and highly motivated team to help drive output,
quality, and a strong culture of accountability. He/she will have
leadership experience, ability to mentor others and create and
drive production strategy. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May
Be Required As Assigned) Take ownership of the production process
and lead the production team by example to foster an environment of
collaboration and ownership. Responsible for staff management and
development including assigning and directing work, performance
management, hiring, training, integrating and retention. Drive
efforts to continuously improve quality and costs using the
principles of lean manufacturing and operational excellence: lean
flow, takt time, standardization, kanban, 5S, cross-training, etc.
Create, apply, and monitor performance metrics for personnel,
products, and processes. Recognize and creatively solve problems
(using root cause analysis) affecting production including
scheduling, staffing, quality, equipment, EH&S, facilities and
supply chain. Partner with R&D, QA, and Supply Chain to launch
new products, fixture design and improvements to the current
product. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space
requirements, and workflow, for maximum efficiency. Create and
execute training plans for Production employees to ensure that the
workforce is appropriately cross trained to minimize risk to
Production. Ensure employee safety and compliance to applicable
Federal, State and company safety regulations. Maintain trained
status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT
BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support
regulatory compliance. Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT
BioRobotics Quality and EHS policies. Travel --- 20%. Travel will
include domestic and international destinations and may be for over
a week at a time. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience,
Certifications) To perform this job successfully, an individual
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

essential functions. BS in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing
or a similar engineering discipline. Minimum of three years of
supervisory or management experience in the medical device industry
or other regulated industry. Demonstrated ability to be a proactive
and collaborative leader in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels
of the organization. Must know the Lean manufacturing method and be
familiar with tools such as visual factory, poka-yoke, 5S, waste
elimination, and kaizen. Experience working in the Medical Device
industry in a structured design process such as ISO9000 or FDA QSR
preferred. Excellent computer skills with specific skills in
Microsoft Office and experience with SolidWorks. Supervisory
Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the Manufacturing
Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance
with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training
employees; planning, assigning, and managing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to up to 50
pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee will be exposed to
engineering labs, a machine shop, and manufacturing clean rooms.
The environment is subject to moderate noise from machinery (IE
machine shop equipment, the PROCEPT Aquablation unit, computer
equipment, printers, etc.), for which proper hearing protection may
be assigned and worn. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly working in a warehouse environment. COVID-I9
