The Screening Business unit is a dedicated organization inside of Guardant Health focused on the development and commercialization of the early cancer detection LUNAR portfolio. The Screening Unit's singular focus on bringing our early cancer detection products to market allows us to act with the speed and urgency needed to achieve our ambitious goals and serve the millions of individuals who can benefit from early cancer detection.

About this role:

The Market Access Director-Employer Accounts is a seasoned professional in the U.S. employer and/or managed care reimbursement business setting. This individual has extensive experience developing and executing on employer programs with large employers who provide benefits via self-funded health care plans. You should have a proven track record of successful partnerships with top US employers and have numerous strategic relationships you can leverage in this role. You have also demonstrated success at partnering with various channels (employer benefit groups, employer benefit advisors/brokers, and employer health technology assessment organizations).

Responsibilities:

The Market Access Director-Employer Accounts will be responsible for managing all strategic initiatives and partnership activities for assigned accounts including but not limited to the following:

Employer Management

  • Responsible for developing and executing an account plan for building awareness and driving utilization of Guardant Health products with target employers and employees
  • Manage multiple strategic national and regional employer accounts
  • Set strategy for accounts that aligns to company's sales and revenue goals
  • Influence key stakeholder within employer and employer benefit coalitions and employer health benefits advisors
  • Collaborate and proactively communicate with screening core market access, sales, and medical affairs for sales territory related issues

    Employer Programs
    • Implement Guardant Health Cancer Wellness Program with key employers
    • Implement data analytics program for CRC screening with key employers
    • Implement early experience program for LUNAR-2 with select employers
    • Partner with employers to develop CRC screening programs for employees
    • Collaborate with Market Access Marketing, Medical Affairs and other departments to develop and implement key strategies and tactics

      Competitive and Market Analysis
      • Track, research, and report on all competitors and competitive activities for Guardant products
      • Provide updates to Managed Care, Screening Core Commercial, Marketing and Medical teams
      • Develop tactical plans to counter competition with targeted accounts
      • Monitor marketplace developments and provide updates to Screening Core Commercial team
      • Support the culture of Guardant Health which focuses on a change in the paradigm for cancer care by utilizing the Lunar platform with earlier detection and treatment.
      • Achieve all goals and objectives

        Qualifications

        Experience:
        • Extensive experience in the employer benefit market or related experience, and a demonstrated track record in driving favorable partnerships with employers
        • Established relationships with or reliable access to key large national and regional employers and related influence groups that impact access to our products for patients and employees.
        • 7+ years strategic account management experience, preferably with employers and sales
        • Experience within the Healthcare industry
        • Extensive experience negotiating agreements involving multi-stakeholders leading to win-win agreements.

          Education:
          • BS or BA required, MBA a plus

            Work Environment:
            • Extensive travel is required
            • Must be physically able to handle extensive travel in vehicle, plane, or other modes of public transport
            • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
            • Office may be home based and involves extensive use of computer and keyboard while in home office

              Additional Information

              Covid Vaccination Policy: Starting January 7, 2022, Guardant Health will require all employees to be fully vaccinated to either (a) establish that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19; or (b) request and obtain an approved exemption from Guardant's COVID-19 U.S. Vaccination Policy as a reasonable accommodation, as consistent with applicable laws. An employee is considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccination. Acceptable vaccines are approved or under emergency use authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, fully-vaccinated employees will be required to maintain their fully-vaccinated status under this policy by obtaining, if applicable, any FDA-approved boosters.

              Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
