Job DescriptionPROCEPT BioRobotics is a surgical robotics
company enabling better patient care by developing transformative
solutions in urology. With an initial focus on BPH, the company's
AQUABEAM® Robotic System delivering Aquablation therapy, is the
first FDA-cleared, automated surgical robot for the treatment of
lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to benign prostatic
hyperplasia (BPH). Aquablation therapy combines real-time,
multi-dimensional imaging, automated robotics and heat-free
waterjet ablation for targeted, controlled, and immediate removal
of prostate tissue. Aquablation therapy offers predictable and
reproducible outcomes, independent of prostate anatomy, prostate
size or surgeon experience. SUMMARYThe Product Manager will play a
crucial role in driving growth of PROCEPT BioRobotics' product
portfolio while ensuring successful delivery of new products to the
market. As a key conduit between external and internal groups, this
individual will represent the voice of the customer and have the
unique ability to articulate technical requirements to the internal
organization. This person will work hand-in-hand with R&D,
Manufacturing and Operations, Surgeon Customers and the Commercial
Team to help determine feature tradeoffs based on customer
requirements, market opportunities, development resources and
program schedules. This person will also support the long-term
product roadmap and competitive intelligence and analysis. This is
an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to help transform

and big picture thinking, the ability to take initiatives and lead
change, and the ability to ask the right questions to assess the
fundamental needs while working effectively with a diverse team.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to think creatively and
execute flawlessly, with a proven track record of success in
product launches and go to market and product lifecycle
management.PROCEPT BioRobotics supports a flexible working
structure, requiring a couple days every month in the home office
in Redwood Shores, CA, but more, if warranted, by a specific
project (eg in person verification or validation testing). This
position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing & Commercial
Strategy. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be required as
assigned)
- Drive new products and line extensions through the product
development process
- Drive expansion of existing products into new geographies or
market segments
- Develop business plans, marketing requirements, and holistic
product offering, including working cross functionally to set
product requirements
- Drive Go to Market strategy and implementation in collaboration
with Downstream Marketing, Professional Education, Customer
Services, Field Service, and Sales
- Execute portfolio-wide competitive strategies based on in-depth
competitive research and market analysis.
- Deliver commercial and clinical training to drive continued
understanding of the product portfolio
- Serve as product champion internally, with the field, and with
customers
- Develop business deliverables, including business plans,
competitive analyses, product lifecycle milestones
- Guide cross-functional teams: engineering, manufacturing,
service, quality, and regulatory
- Build strong rapport with sales and surgeons, including Key
Opinion Leaders, and serve as the subject matter expert for the
company as it relates to assigned products and competitive
products.
- Provide ongoing product sales training and customer
support
- Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant
aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to
ensure product and support regulatory compliance

- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in product management and/or
product marketing
- Experience in the medical device, healthcare or life science
industry required
- Experience in upstream product management
- Ability and enthusiasm to work at a fast pace and manage
multiple projects
- High attention to detail and quality with the ability to manage
changing deadlines and balance shifting priorities
- Results oriented individual with can-do attitude and
demonstrated pattern of accountable decision-making
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
with all functional areas
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with
customers and internal employees
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, and ability to
operate independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience
working with surgeons in the operating room setting
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Force

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly
works in an office environment.
- The employee is occasionally required to attend animal or
cadaver labs and to manipulate models and/or organs for
testing
- The employee frequently packs and unpacks packages
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to up to 50
pounds.
- The employee will occasionally be exposed to engineering labs,
a machine shop, and manufacturing clean rooms. The environment is
subject to moderate noise from machinery (IE machine shop
equipment, the PROCEPT -AquaBeam Robotic System, computer
equipment, printers, etc.), for which proper hearing protection may
be assigned and worn.
- The employee may be exposed to hazards including electrical
sparking, water, and chemicals, for which proper protective
equipment will be assigned and worn.
- The employee will frequently be exposed to clinical operating
rooms, for which proper personal protection equipment will be
assigned and worn.
- COVID-I9 Vaccine Requirement: As of August 19, 2021, all
