ECP's in-house management and leasing staff work with a variety of third-party brokers and property management groups to execute defined operating and investment objectives.COMPENSATIONBase Salary + Bonus DOE. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and a retirement planAccounts PayableResponsible for accounts payable of multiple propertiesMaintains accounts payable workflows by setting up vendors, properties, and expense allocation templatesActs as gatekeeper and "go to" A/P specialist for several property teams located in several officesMaintains vendors databases, W-9s, and prepares annual information returns (i.e. 1099s, 1096s, etc.) for respective regulatory agenciesReviews daily A/P exceptions and routes and approves them as neededProcess employee expense reports and reviews supporting documentsCodes or reviews general ledger expense distributionsWorks with property A/P personnel to ensure proper and timely approval of invoicesPerforms weekly check runs and monitors ACH payments as neededManage vendor communication and manage relationships for outsourced AP Payment functionsResearch and resolve complex past due balances.Conduct training sessions for new employees on the use of Avid Exchange as necessaryMonitors internal controls, makes recommendations for improvements when necessaryConstruction AccountingResponsible for the processing, reviewing, tracking and general ledger posting of construction costs for multiple projectsCommunicate with project managers, vendors, and external parties to manage invoice payment processAssist with lien waiver maintenance and subcontractor insurance verification.Work with Property Accountants to capitalize completed projectsAssist with monthly Depreciation/Amortization calculations for capitalized projectsAssist with monthly Loan DrawsDevelop training manual for new employees (construction process)Answer inquiries and perform job cost analysis and reporting as neededProvide ad hoc projects as neededAccounts ReceivablePosts daily cash receipts in MRIMonitors A/R collections and works with property accountants and property managers to ensure payments collection.Records billing adjustments and creditsWork with property team members and accountants to provide tenant payment history and account status.QualificationsDegree in accounting or related field, preferredMinimum 3-5 years' experience in A/P and A/RMinimum 2 years' experience in construction accountingExcellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skillsReliable, team player, and able to adapt quickly and easilyDetailed-oriented, excellent organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work independently, meet deadlines and ability to prioritizeExperience with accounting software, preferably MRI and or Avid ExchangeProficiency with Excel and MS Word
