Join our team to find a purpose-driven career, an inclusive culture, and robust benefits to support your life while you're working to help others.Position OverviewThe Materials Management Associate II will assist in a variety of Material Management activities, including but not limited to cycle counting, SAP receiving management, quality inspections, internal inventory requests, staging, shipping, receiving and distribution of goods and supplies. This position will work within defined procedures and may develop and document new procedures for Materials Management.Essential DutiesInclude but are not limited to the following:

  • Receive, issue, prepare shipments, sort and deliver goods and maintain inventory for both inbound and outbound shipments
  • Maintain inventory and associated records for raw materials, intermediates, disposables, consumables, reagents, and spare parts.
  • Process purchase order requisitions: may purchase materials to maintain designated inventory levels.
  • Access and update records within internal systems; SAP, lab management systems, etc.
  • Perform quality inspections on supplier inbound material.
  • Prepare quality records as directed according to standard operating procedures or study protocols.
  • Package or re-configure materials for staging or use in testing laboratories or production areas, following approved procedures.
  • Perform analysis of material movement / inventory levels and potential shortages that impact production.
  • Investigate and resolve material discrepancies and negative inventory balances.
  • Develops and recommend best practices for material flow systems and procedures.
  • Ensure segregation of non-conformances, returns, reprocessing, and expired material.
  • Evaluate complex processes and apply critical-thinking skills to complete assignments that are complex in nature where judgement and initiative are necessary to resolve problems.
  • Manage cycle count process and maintain required recordkeeping for the department, investigating inventory discrepancies, identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to accurately follow procedures or with minimal direction.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team situations, cross-functionally as well as independently.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
  • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements. Minimum Qualifications
    • Minimum high school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in materials management and handling, warehousing, inventory management, receiving, shipping, and warehouse quality support.
    • Inventory management or material coordination skills.
    • Proficiency with MS Office with strong MS Excel skills.
    • 3+ years of experience using warehouse management system or ERP systems.
    • 3+ years working in a metric-controlled environment.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license, no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months, and no unresolved license revocation or suspension issues.
    • Ability to be forklift certified.
    • Possession of a valid driver's license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.Preferred Qualifications
      • Associate degree or higher preferred.
      • Experience in a laboratory environment, preferably in a GMP, CAP and/or ISO13485 environment.Salary Range:$57,000.00 - $93,000.00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - CA - Redwood City on a full-time basis.
