Synthego is searching for a Laboratory Associate to join our Engineered Cells Operations team and help create the world's first fully automated Genome Engineering lab.-- Morning Shift:-- -Tuesday - Saturday; 6:30am - 3:00pm -Sunday - Thursday; 6:30am - 3:00pm Swing Shift: - Tuesday- Saturday; 2:30pm-11:00pm-- - Sunday - Thursday; 2:30pm - 11:00pm What You'll Do

• Receive and prepare laboratory reagents; update LIMS during the manufacturing process.
• Receive and unpack material shipments
• Prepare materials for various critical processes
• Print labels for vials, flasks, and plates
• Operate liquid handlers to facilitate iPSC media changing
• Transfer vials and materials
• Package and ship edited cell vials
• Practice continuous improvement by contributing ideas and suggestions to new and existing processes
• Capture production data in compliance with site and quality management system requirements
• Notify Factory Service of malfunctioning equipment.
• Prepare and test media, buffers, reagents, stock solutions, and cleaning solutions for the manufacturing process by following established standard operating procedures and maintaining record keeping for procedures performed.
• Collect biohazard waste and dispose in the proper way.
• Responsible for executing and logging daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and preparation activities on automation systems for engineering of cell cultures.
• Ensure appropriate levels of lab supplies and cold reagent inventory in all areas of operations.
• Comply with safety requirements, cGMP, SOP and manufacturing documentation.
• Work with team Leads to prioritize tasks and assignments and make recommendations to maximize efficiency and productivity based on team needs.
• Provide support to the Engineered Cells Operations team to meet production demands. About You
  • AA in Chemistry, Biotech Certification, or relevant work experience
  • 0-1 years of industry experience within the manufacturing/production environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with an ability to set priorities, and organize daily work requirements.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work with different personas
  • Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), as well as a strong commitment to quality
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team, to meet departmental goals
