Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Redwood City,
California, 94062! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN

Required Certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS
Certification, NRP Description: Ratios are in accordance with ACOG
guidelines. One nurse is responsible for 3 to 4 couplet patients.
Electronic medical records are managed with Cerner. The charge
nurse will triage patients. OB techs will function as aides when
there are no cases. Every other weekend is required
(Friday/Saturday nights, Saturday/Sunday days). Holidays are
rotated with staff, typically one of every three major holidays.
Scrub color is ceil blue, provided by the facility. Anesthesia is
available 24/7. During active labor, anesthesia is usually
in-house. Private OB/GYN physicians cover after hours and weekends.
The facility has a level 2 NICU staffed by specialized nurses.
Patients are generally 32 weeks and above. There may be some
overflow of GYN clean patients. Nurses from the NICU attend each
delivery. Patient rooms are newly designed, while postpartum rooms
are older. Lactation nurses for patient support are available
during the day. Infant security is implemented using a specific
system. The patient population typically has a higher socioeconomic
status. The median maternal age is around 37. There is a higher
volume of non-English speaking patients, with translation services
available. All staff assist with triage and non-stress tests. Call
is not mandatory but can be optional. If on call, staff should be
within a 20-minute response time. A sleep room is available for
staff use during shifts. Cancellation policy allows for up to three
shifts to be canceled per assignment. The charting system utilized
