Healthcare Job Details Job Title: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Acute & Primary Care Location: Oakland, California 94605 Practice Setting: Outpatient healthcare clinic Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026), with extension options Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,216 – $4,684 Schedule: 4 shifts/week, 8-hour day shifts (8:30am – 5:00pm) Hours per Week: 40 Patient Volume: Approximately 20 adult patients per day (primarily return visits) Clinical Support: 2 Registered Nurses (RNs), 1 Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), 1 Medical Assistant (MA) per provider Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR Call Requirements: None Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements Active California Nurse Practitioner license DEA registration with Schedule II authority in California BLS certification (American Heart Association) 2-3 years of recent outpatient primary care experience Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience Experience with vulnerable populations or safety net communities preferred Spanish-speaking skills highly preferred Healthcare Responsibilities Provide acute and chronic disease management for adult patients (18) Deliver urgent primary care and clinical support for immediate healthcare needs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, LVN, and MA Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient management Promote patient-centered care in a supportive outpatient clinic environment Serve a diverse patient population, addressing health disparities in the Oakland healthcare community Apply now to join our healthcare team as a locum tenens nurse practitioner in Oakland, California!
