Physical Therapist Location: Salinas, CA Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $67 per hour Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Days Start Date: ASAP About the Position Physical Therapist Location: Salinas, CA Start Date: 02-23-2026 End Date: 05-25-2026 Contract Type: Contract Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) Hours per Week: 35 Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour Roles & Responsibilities Provide patient-centered evaluation and skilled physical therapy interventions to support recovery and functional independence Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and progress expectations Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care and optimize outcomes Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the medical record Monitor and adjust interventions based on patient response and evidence-based practice Participate in team huddles and care planning to ensure continuity and quality of care Qualifications Current, unrestricted California Physical Therapist license (or appropriate PTA license if applying as PTA) Active BLS/CPR certification Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload in an inpatient rehabilitation or skilled setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients, families, and the care team Willingness to work a schedule that may include weekends and rapid start dates Education Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred for PT roles Associate degree or accredited PTA program completion for PTA roles Additional certifications in specialty rehab skills are a plus Knowledge & Skills Skilled in adult rehabilitation assessments and therapeutic exercise prescription Experience with transfers, gait training, balance and mobility training Proficient documentation and goal-setting aligned with payer and facility requirements Ability to use clinical reasoning to progress patients toward functional goals Comfortable collaborating in a multidisciplinary rehab environment Familiarity with common assistive devices and adaptive equipment Benefits Generous housing stipend and assistance to make your travel life easy Medical, dental & vision coverage so you can stay healthy and focused Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current Travel reimbursement and support getting you to the assignment smoothly Paid time off options to recharge between assignments A supportive interdisciplinary team that values your expertise Orientation and onboarding tailored for travelers to get you productive fast Referral bonus program to reward you for bringing great clinicians aboard Travel Perks: Explore Salinas, CA Salinas sits in the heart of California’s beautiful Central Coast.
