Job Description:

We are looking for an Human Resource specialist for a Redwood City based, small/mid-sized industrial Manufacturing firm, as an ADDITION to their team, working on the many day to day requirements and duties of an HR role, including maintaining confidentiality, understanding the in's and outs' of local, state and national labor law, working as a member of the HR team on hiring/firing/conflict resolution issues as they arise and basically just becoming a go-to resource for the existing team members who can use some additional support, as the company grows!

We are a manufacturing firm, supplier for many industries such as the Aerospace, DOD, Medical, Technology, etc, and we operate with an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified quality management system, so if you have this similar experience, it can ONLY help you hit the ground running!

This role, call is an HR Specialist, Generalist, Coordinator,, what have you..... will be part of multi-functional team that support various aspect of the business including HR, accounting, and customer service.

The primary role is to perform and support the HR functions related to timecards and payroll, employee relations, new hire recruiting and on boarding, and employee training.

As part of the team you may also be asked to support customer order entry, customer service and accounting functions including AP processing and filing.

Please Note
This position is a full-time position.
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.
This position regularly requires long hours and some weekend work, but mostly on an on-call/as needed/emergency basis.

This can be an up and comer in the 3-5 year range, with some solid experience, or it can be a more experience professional with 10+ years under their belt....but please note, we aren't looking for someone to come in and take over/take charge of the department, rather someone that is very strong in the role, but not necessarily someone looking to make the group 'their own'...there are opportunities for project leadership, etc., but again, we don't need to recreate the wheel here, we just need additional bandwidth with an industry professional.

An ideal candidate would be someone who is bilingual Spanish, but please note, that isn't a absolute deal breaker, simply a WISHLIST item.

We would like to see those that have more than just MOM AND POP sized company experience, perhaps those that have worked in an HR department of a bigger company (not huge, just bigger) and understand the basic requirements of the HR role, confidentiality, labor law, hiring/firing/conflict resolution.

Experience wise, this does not need to be a 20 year veteran and could even be a 3-5 year junior person who wants to get a very rounded experience in the business workings of a private smaller, but growing company, but exposure to more than one specialty inside of an HR organization would be the key.

We would prefer to see candidates with A bachelors degree or equivalent related experience in an HR role in a corporate environment.

Someone that can work in a collaborative team environment, someone that has Excellent communication and documentation skills, and again, IF we can find someone that can bring Spanish language Fluency skills, this would indeed be considered a plus.
