I External Description: The EA Digital Platform (EADP) group
provides central services that help game teams to tap into the
power of the global EA ecosystem. Compatible across multiple
platforms and devices, our platform empowers teams to foster
deeper, more meaningful relationships with our players. The EADP is
the foundation on which EA's games are built. By providing reusable
capabilities that game teams can easily integrate into their games,
we allow them to focus on making incredible games. Description: We
are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with a passion for
technical excellence and to achieve outstanding online game systems
to join our EADP Developer Solutions team. You will use your deep
technical skillset to help game teams integrate with our centrally
developed EA Digital Platform. You'll work across multiple
technologies and game studios to promote the best experiences for
our players. You will also empower our Digital Platform groups by
helping them understand the needs, schedules, issues, and strategic
goals of game teams. You will solve challenges, quickly coming up
to speed with new technologies, teams, problems, and solutions.
Your great teamwork skills will build healthy partnerships and
collaborative work environments. You will bring a baseline of
expertise in the areas of: Excellent C coder with 10 years in
software development Client/Server, Peer-to-Peer and multi-threaded
architectures. Modern database technologies. Networking protocols.
3rd party APIs. Good software programming practices. Bachelor's
degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training
and professional experience. Bonus: 2 years of experience working
on Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo game consoles or other embedded
systems. Experience of real-time game networking. Experience with
Visual Studio and knowledge ofdebugging tools. Experience with
source control systems. Experience with Java, scripting languages
(Python, Lua), and interpreted languages (C#). Shipped game titles
