By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation and data science, we are building intelligence platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a hardworking individual for a Computer Vision Summer Internship position within the Algorithms & AI team. As an intern you will work closely with other Research Scientists, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists to develop novel solutions in the areas of computer vision and robotic navigation. This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in solving ambitious problems and contribute to technology development for next-generation robotic platforms. Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and test computer vision algorithms with multi-modal datasets, for workflow recognition, anatomy/tool segmentation, and object detection/sizing (in Python).
  • Experiment design, testing, and analysis of algorithm performance.
  • Integrate new algorithms into data and machine learning pipelines.
  • Design and extraction of metrics and associated statistical analysis of surgical procedure data for classification of procedure performance.
  • Work closely with other computer vision scientists, analytics engineers, data scientists and clinical teams.
