Job Description:

A software company in New York City is currently seeking a new Corporate / Commercial Lawyer for a promising Remote opportunity with their In-House Legal team.

Responsibilities:
The Corporate / Commercial Lawyer (Remote) will:

• 
  
• Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts, including Engagement Letters, Non-Disclosure Agreements, MSAs, SOWs, and RFPs
  
• Draft and negotiate vendor agreements, content license agreements, marketing agreements and other corporate agreements, as required
  
• Advise the business on key contractual terms with a view to collaboratively assessing legal and business risk within the company's business and the market standard
  
• Develop creative solutions and provide effective legal advice on day-to-day matters with a pragmatic and business centric focus
  
• Advance legal and business practices by driving new approaches and process improvements while balancing a high volume of client matters in a timely and effective manner
  
• Develop internal processes to improve the company's ability to scale the legal support provided
  
• Perform other duties, as needed
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • 4+ years of experience within an a leading Law firm and/or Corporate or Technology Law Department
    
  • Bachelor's Degree
    
  • Juris Doctorate
    
  • Admission to the NYS Bar
    
  • Expertise in Corporate, Commercial and M&A practices
    
  • Solid understanding of Data Privacy requirements
    
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
    
  • Great interpersonal skills
    
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    
  • Strong attention to detail
    
  • Highly organized
