Job Description:
Staff Attorney - Housing - Redwood City, CALegal Aid Society of
San Mateo County (www.legalaidsmc.org) is seeking an attorney to
join our Housing Rights Team which currently consists of four
attorneys and four project coordinators who work collaboratively on
all aspects of the program. On the front lines of the housing
affordability crisis, Housing staff members work to defend
individual tenancies, enforce existing tenant protections through
impact litigation, and advocate for effective and equitable housing
policies in partnership with impacted communities. Currently
Housing staff are deeply involved in work with low-income tenants
impacted by COVID-19: educating residents about pandemic tenant
protection measures; litigating eviction cases to enforce and
interpret these protective laws; and advocating for the adoption of
effective policies in the county and the state.To Apply: Submit: 1)
