Facility Care Supervisor An ADP Client, Abigail Complete Care Inc and Complete Senior Living is currently seeking a Facility Care Supervisor to join the team in Redwood City, CA 94062. About the Role: Under the direction of the Administrator, ensures that Direct Care Staff provides care to the residents in a safe, controlled, knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and courteous manner following the facilities established policies, protocols and philosophy. Essential Responsibilities: * Conducts regular resident assessments and monitors vital signs while on the floor shadowing direct care staff. Handles changes of condition according to the proactive policy of the facilities, including regular COVID 19 swab testing. * Assist with facility medication management of the residents, treatments, and tests according to established orders and State protocols. * Staff development, proactive coaching, teaching and correction to staff. * Establishes and maintains communication with the Administrator, LVNs, Medication Technicians, and other health care providers and departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness and promote consistency and continuity of care. * Documents patient assessments, medication administration, treatments, and other interventions and care in accordance with law, regulation, and established protocol. * Participates in the orientation and training of new staff. * Collaborates with others in providing in-service education. * Participates in establishing department/organization goals, identifying priorities, and implementing and evaluating quality improvement efforts. Demonstrates an awareness of and sensitivity to patient/family rights. * Applies safety principles as identified by established policy. * Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices. * Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals. * Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in resident flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality. * Assists with resident care, preparing residents for examinations/procedures, emergency care, and injections as needed. * Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities. * Performs duties including but not limited to answering phones, taking and returning messages per providers instructions, taking vital signs, preparing residents for exams, assisting providers with procedures, cleaning and restocking rooms, filing materials, servicing equipment, triaging test results, and performing procedures covered by the LVN licensure. * Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Must possess current state LVN license and CPR certification. * Minimum of four to six years related experience or equivalent. * Demonstrated competence in infection prevention. * Proven skill in reacting to and handling emergencies. * Able to work collaboratively with a wide range of facility direct care staff and professionals in a busy environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline. * Strong charting/documentation skills. * Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols. * Commitment to excellence and high standards. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. * Ability to manage priorities and workflow. * Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. * Acute attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. * Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. * Creative, flexible, and innovative team player. * Bilingual skills a plus.
