Our headquarters is located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful historic Golden, Colorado with an additional office located in Northern California (Redwood City) that maintains many of our IT professionals.

We are looking for top talent anywhere in the U.S.A, with a preference for the Denver, CO, or Northern California areas who are passionate to be part of an exciting COVID monitoring device that will be at the forefront of future healthcare technology.

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and work closely with all levels of the organization to build complex product features. The Cloud team is at the intersection of many of BioIntelliSense's technical requirements and you will be working directly with multiple teams to deliver key enhancements and features. You will own all phases of the development cycle from planning to delivery, maintenance, and scale while ensuring quality, security, and compliance each step of the way.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a small-to-midsize company, be able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment and be an excellent communicator. Key Job Duties:
As a Senior Cloud Engineer on the BioCloud team, you'll be responsible for:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining the architecture and solutions of scalable data pipelines and processing flows
Optimizing data infrastructure, model, and access to ensure data availability through cross-functional platforms
Designing, reviewing, and implementing REST API applications
Collaborating with our DevOps team to design and instill cloud-native deployment techniques
Writing, execution, and maintenance of unit tests to ensure code accuracy
Review and maintain integration test plans to ensure feature accuracy
Mentor and coach junior engineers in software development best practices
Ability to prioritize tasks and create concrete solutions from abstract requirements
Ability to work with cross-team requirements and development efforts on multiple projects

In addition to these responsibilities, Senior Cloud Engineers are also expected to rotate through the on-call duties. When on-call, you'll be responsible for monitoring the system status, handling tickets escalated from non-engineering teams and responding to incidents.
Minimum Requirements:

Have a bachelor's degree.
Deep expertise in at least one public cloud, preferably GCP
Proficient in Python and experience in Python web frameworks such as Flask
Git for version control
Be good at both written and oral communication
Be willing to learn and improve, and have a team-player mentality
Ability to work in a high pace environment

Preferred Additional Requirements:

Have a BS in Computer Science.
Have 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
Proficient in Java
Proficient in SQL and Data Warehouse technologies such as BigQuery
Experience with RDBMS/NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Bigtable, and MongoDB
Technical documentation writing
Experience with HIPAA, GDPR, and other health-related regulations
Bluetooth (BLE) devices
Google Cloud Platform
Containerized applications
Have experience with designing and maintaining complicated systems.
