Job Summary: Equinix is looking for a driven and motivated
individual who is passionate about being part of the success of a
rapidly growing organization. To support our growth, Equinix is
building our Global Technology Hardware team and we are looking for
an individual with a proven track record in IT Hardware Procurement
management. You will work closely with our Global Category Lead of
Technology Hardware to drive change and work in innovative ways to
help achieve the department's objectives
The successful individual will support the business in reaching
a Global Procurement supply side market value add category
approach. The role involves strong engagement with cross functional
stakeholders to obtain sponsorship and 'buy-in' into the
regional/global category sourcing plan with demonstrable business
benefits, while leading initiatives and driving deadlines.
- End to End demand management of stakeholder requirements,
Sourcing activities from both a global and regional
Logistics planning and tax implications
Financial engagements - interface between Metal, Accounting,
Project planning and execution management as required by Eqix
EOL and decommissioning product management
Demonstrates project management execution and communicates
extensively with internal and external stakeholders. Share
Intelligent Sourcing data and Supplier Delivery & Relationship
Performance with Stakeholders.
Negotiate supplier agreements with Legal support to comply with
regional/global requirements. Complete on-boarding 'due diligence'
for new Suppliers, and approve new Supplier creation requests.
Responsible for Supplier Relationships. Creates and maintains
long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster two-way feedback
(Supplier Relationship Management). Actively manages and optimizes
supplier performance, including continuous improvement in quality,
service, and delivery, integrating innovations, obsolescence and
reduction in total cost of ownership.
Identifies and executes improvements in related processes. Apply
best practices to eliminate unnecessary duplication and complexity
across multiple Products/ Solutions.
Tracks target deliverables including contract awards, supplier
rationalization, cost savings, and cash flow optimization. Provides
monthly reports where necessary.
Works as extension to Metal team, supporting all facets of
business support required to meet project and demand pipelines.
- Global operational and execution experience required.
10+ years' experience in a procurement role sourcing in an
international capacity (Servers, Storage, and Networking
Logistics and warehouse management
Inventory management - direct and 3rd party
Extensive knowledge of market benchmarking and best
Advanced communication and presentation skills
Advanced analytical skills
Relationship management skills for internal and external
Exceptional time management skills
Strong negotiation skills
Financial acumen skills
Legal contract negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products; specifically,
PowerPoint and Excel
- Demonstrated performance in prior role(s), with increasing
levels of responsibility
