Senior Scientist I/II, DMPK

Company: Revolution Medicines, Inc.
Location: Redwood City
Posted on: June 7, 2021

Job Description:

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.

Revolution Medicines is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with a scientific background to be part of the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology (NDCP) Organization. This position contributes to and supports the company's research and development efforts to create new medicines for cancer patients by harnessing the value of frontier oncology targets - proteins that drive the growth of cancers or that control immune responses that can defeat them.

The Opportunity:

  • Be a key contributor to DMPK strategy by acting as a Subject Matter Expert on interdisciplinary project teams.

  • Identify critical ADME/PK-related issues; align and collaborate with cross-functional drug discovery teams to support lead optimization and development candidate selection.

  • Collaborate with preclinical pharmacology and toxicology functions to design PK/PD/efficacy and safety/toxicity/TK studies. Apply modeling and simulation to predict human PK profiles and project efficacious doses in FIH studies.

  • Bring fresh perspectives in identifying and employing new technologies and strategies to address current and future ADME/PK challenges to drive RevMed projects.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and study records and keep internal database up to date.

  • Author high quality documents to support regulatory filings and IB updates.

  • Participate in the preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts for publication.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.

  • Over 5 years of industry experience in drug discovery and development; experience with GLP studies is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of drug metabolism, ADME, pharmacokinetics, and bioanalytical principles.

  • Proficiency in PK analysis and modeling using WinNonlin or other PK software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to represent DMPK in a collaborative team environment.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong record keeping and data management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Keen to maximize efficiency and demonstrated ability to meet project timelines.
