multiple liquid biopsy-based tests, Guardant360 and GuardantOMNI,

development programs for recurrence and early detection. Since its
launch in 2014, Guardant360 has been used by more than 6,000
oncologists, over 50 biopharmaceutical companies and all 27 of the
National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers.
This role works out of our Headquarters in Redwood City, CA. Due
to the Covid 19 Pandemic Guardant Health has temporarily classified
this role as 'partial working from home status,' meaning as duties
apply this role the person will be expected onsite a few days a
week. We will fully return onsite at HQ when it is determined safe
to do so.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Apply scientific methods and engineering skills in efforts for
scalability sample processing workflows.
- Collaborate or lead cross-functional teams working in a variety
of projects to explore, develop, optimize, test, and put in place
scalable solutions for sample processing workflows.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of business and user
requirements and improving efficiency, throughput, and quality of
- Contribute to protocol generation, report writing, and
- Operate, program, and troubleshoot liquid handling robotics
platforms for whole blood separation - preferably on a Hamilton
- Integrate automated methods with sample tracking and data
management software (is a plus)
- BS degree in engineering or science, with 1-3 years of related
experience. MS with 1+ years of related work experience will also
be considered. Preferred degrees; Molecular Biology, Genetics or
Biochemistry, Bioengineering or, Chemical Engineering or a closely
- Experience streamlining workflows, developing automated
laboratory processes, and instrumentation systems, from concept
generation. As well as requirements gathering through to process
validation and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with operating and programming liquid
handling robotics platforms
- Experience with Hamilton liquid handlers
- Experience in automated development of next-generation
sequencing (NGS) assays and/or standard molecular biology
techniques. (ie: nucleic acid isolation and purification, DNA
quantitation, PCR, etc.)
- Experience working within regulated environments (IVD, LDT,
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to work, internal & external with diverse scientific,
engineering, operational, and regulatory disciplines.
- Experience with statistical data analysis, monitoring data
quality, and troubleshooting technical problems.
- Has NGS or Diagnostic company background

20 lbs and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed
in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposed to high
noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory
