The future is now. Business Segment Overview Thermal Management Overview People in our Thermal segment are in the prevention business. We know that catastrophic events - such as frozen pipes, liquid leaks and train derailments - can alter lives and damage the success of companies involved. Our solutions include heat tracing for pipes in industrial plants, buildings, and infrastructure; heating system components; fire-rated wiring cables; floor-heating cables and mats; and thermostats and controls. The success of our nVent RAYCHEM and nVent TRACER brands demonstrate how we convert blue-sky thinking into sophisticated solutions. Behind the scenes: We invented self-regulating heating cables, with more than a billion feet installed worldwide. Select from approved business segment overviews on the appendix page Position Summary Machine Operator will work in a team environment and operate manufacturing equipment. Ability to work, communicate and participate in a lean and fast changing environment. Requires interface with computer controlled systems. Frequent troubleshooting of both mechanical and computer equipment issues. Must be able to enter data accurately and follow written instructions using the shop floor computer system. Team members are also expected to share in team activities, which include participation in meetings, giving and receiving feedback, sending and reading e-mail, housekeeping and safety activities. Key role responsibilities * Define and communicate requirements for applications and integrations * Good computer skills and arithmetic skills are required * Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills are a must * Ability to work independently or cross-functional teams * Self-starter that takes initiative * May be required to perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience * Preferred high school diploma or equivalent, some college a plus. * Must be a self-starter and possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, and SAP a plus). * Demonstrated skills in attention to detail and accuracy * Skill in verbal and written communication to document and present training, standard work and other work to audiences. * Ability to recommend and present ideas and solutions to groups at all levels of the organization * Ability to participate in group discussions and offer constructive advice and actions to assist in a team environment Working Conditions * Occasionally must be able to lift 30 lbs. Pull, push, grab, bend, stoop or kneel frequently. The ability to stand for an 8-hour shift. Clearly and comfortably, view, interpret and process information within department.
