Job Summary & Responsibilities
The person in this position is wholly responsible for planning
finished goods and components to ensure proper inventory and
service levels are maintained per company guidelines. They will
determine finished goods and component requirements from the MRP
system as well as via input from project teams and management for
new products and changes to existing products, and they will issue
appropriate purchase orders and forecasts to the supply base.
Use the ERP system's MRP functionality to plan, purchase and
maintain proper levels of all Nevro-owned inventory per the Safety
Stock policy and in support of Customer Service goals.
Responsible for ensuring continuous supply of our finished products
to our field sales team and for direct customer orders.
Responsible for ensuring that our finished product packager has all
necessary Nevro-supplied kit components available when needed for
production of finished goods.
Maintain Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) metrics and
planning data used for presentation to senior management. Analyze
metrics to determine trends and drive to root causes, initiating
action where possible to address negative trends.
Use independent judgement to establish and maintain MRP-relevant
master data in the ERP system
Generate monthly supplier forecasts and disseminate to all relevant
suppliers
Use the iPurchase software program to generate Purchase
Requisitions driven by the MRP data, and issue all required
Purchase Orders to suppliers after approval of related Purchase
Requisitions
Follow-up on late supplier deliveries to ensure the MRP system has
current data to use for planning
Expedite purchase orders as needed while balancing against the need
to control expediting costs
Monitor supplier delivery to ensure high levels of on-time delivery
performance from our suppliers, maintain and publish related
metrics and initiate actions to drive improvements when needed
Prepare and maintain all required purchasing records for Production
components
Coordinate implementation of Engineering Change Orders with
suppliers
Work with suppliers and internal departments to improve systems to
track and replenish inventory throughout offsite locations and
within Order-to-Pay process
Assist in developing and implementing Supply Chain strategy
Create iPurchase requisitions for indirect spend as needed
Serve as a back-up in the Cycle Counting function
Other duties as assigned
Role Requirements
3-5 years of planning-related experience in a regulated industry,
medical device preferred
Well-versed in the use of MRP functionality in ERP software, QAD
preferred
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
APICS or CPSM certification desirable
Skills And Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Operations Management
or equivalent work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory management methods &
techniques
Understanding of business and financial impact of planning &
purchasing decisions
Sound judgment and decision making, problem solving, flexibility,
assertiveness, resilience, and strong quality orientation
Ability to influence, strong negotiation skills, excellent follow
through and organization skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment to
accomplish goals while multitasking
Ability to manage multiple tasks, with a customer-focused sense of
urgency
This position resides at corporate headquarters with expected
travel of no more than 10%
