Our Performance Enzymes Division focuses on engineered novel
enzymes that have applications in the sustainable manufacturing of
pharmaceuticals, food, and industrial products, and in the creation
of the next generation of life science tools. These unique enzymes
drive product and process improvements across multiple industries
and applications.
We are looking to hire a Research Associate, Process Analytics to
join our Upstream Bioprocess Team. As part of this dynamic team,
you will be responsible for the execution of process analytics
experiments to support the Industrial Enzymes team. If any of the

will be responsible for: Analytical biochemistry, using diverse
techniques including enzyme activity assays, SDS-PAGE, host
cell-DNA (qPCR), and others as necessary.In process analytics:
quantification of organic acids and metabolites in fermentation and
upstream bioprocesses using YSI, Gallery or similar
equipment.Processing high volume of samples from internal and
external fermentation workflows.Adhering to SOPs which are used for
process characterization and potentially contributing to developing
new SOPs.Maintaining a clean, organized, and tidy lab environment
and maintaining lab notebooks.Being motivated to learn new
laboratory workflows focused on process analytics and fermentation
and establishing new assays
To be successful in this role, your background and experience
should include: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering,
Biochemistry, Microbiology or related discipline with 1-2 years'
experience in fermentation analytical support.Excellent
interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.Ability
to keep organized records and documentation and follow SOPs.Ability
to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task and remain flexible with
changing needs.Must be motivated and able to work under tight
deadlines.Experience with high-throughput sample analysis is a
plus.Experience with DOE and statistical analysis is a plus. What
