Responsibilities:
Position Summary: -This position is responsible for the performing
a variety of specialized clerical and diet office coordinator
duties related to functions within the diet office and patient tray
assembly within the Department of Nutrition and Food Service, under
the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Director or Clinical
Dietician. -Minimum: -Six (6) months of general clerical
experience, involving routine office duties (answering phones,
processing paperwork, maintaining files, etc.) required. In third
year of a BS in Nutrition - OR - - has completed one (1) year of a
Master's in Nutrition - OR - Associate's Degree in Food and
Nutrition - OR- equivalent experience two (2) years diet clerk)
required with emphasize on therapeutic diets.ServSafe Certification
for Food Manager upon hire or within 6 months of hire. RD, DTR,
CDM, RD eligible preferred. Keyboard ability sufficient to type 20
words per minute required. Effective verbal, electronic and written
communications skills using the English language Computer
proficiency required.Microsoft office applications preferred with
ability to learn new software required.Maintain variable work
schedule to provide patient care as needed (evenings, holidays,
weekends).Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills,
working with diverse population.Work independently, be
self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.Anticipates
challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing
them.High level of service delivery.Demonstrate initiative with
ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing
situations.Attention to detail.Preferred: -Food Service experience
preferred. -Computer skills preferred. -
