Job Description:
Retro Biosciences is a fast-growing biopharma startup using
high-throughput, high-dimensional approaches to develop therapies
for diseases driven by the biology of aging. We are looking to
expand our exceptional team at our Redwood City location.We are
looking for a highly organized and self-motivated facilities
maintenance staff member who enjoys a fast-paced, ever-evolving
environment. You'll be part and parcel with the Retro ops team and
while your primary responsibility will be to keep our facilities
clean and in order , you will also work on various initiatives and
special projects. You'll be juggling multiple balls at once
sometimes, but affirmatively within the constraints of a healthy,
happy working environment. Responsibilities: Cleans Retro office
spaces and labs including vacuuming, mopping, trash collection,
bathrooms, kitchens, and more Owns building maintenance of 20,000
sq ft facility Seeks out areas requiring upkeep; takes initiative
to complete the task Organizes office inventory and kitchen
supplies Performs weekly and monthly facilities safety inspections
(we'll provide checklist and training) Assists with
cross-functional company projects including occasional "front desk"
operations such as greeting visitors and receiving deliveries
Supports overall operational functions such as setting up for
special events Helps with furniture assembly, equipment set-up and
other practical tasks Qualifications: Basic computer skills Not
intimidated by tools and fixing things you have never fixed before
Some experience in service industry preferred Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral
instructions Has taken or are interested in getting OSHA10
certified (we'll pay) A flexible work schedule including being
on-call for emergencies - weekends and holiday work are required,
but shared among the team Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb a ladder
