The contract can potentially go up to 5 months in length to cover a leave of absence. Apply today for consideration!Responsibilities: Key owner of the supplier relationship. In conjunction with Category Managers, owns and resolves the daily tactical supply chain issues such as backorder resolution, open order expediting, lead time management, supplier production issues, etc. Assists in supplier planning sessions in support of goals and objectives. Maintain positive vendor relationships, plans and inputs to the negotiation of beneficial supplier agreements on behalf of the company. Identifies and corrects Supply Chain constraints by acting as liaison between Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse and Suppliers. A Expedites, cancels /defers and ensures system generated and manual purchase orders are aligned to support Customer need dates. Evaluates suppliers based on capability, performance and delivery. Daily review of stock-outs; accountable for timely resolution of supply chain issues. Works with suppliers to improve cost, quality, delivery dates and lead time. Represents Supply Chain in supplier negotiations. Collaborates with the appropriate functional teams to assist in the resolution of issues such as: damage claims, rejections, losses, returns, over shipments, cancellations, and discontinuations. Works with peers to manage supply chain standard operating procedures and create new documents when needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
