Senior Systems EngineerWorking at the intersection of hardware,

together. Carbon is seeking a multi-faceted and motivated Senior
Systems Engineer to join our team to help us design/build new
groundbreaking additive manufacturing solutions. As a member of a
tight-knit Engineering team, you'd contribute ideas and develop
practical solutions to an evolving list of challenges. Your work
will help ensure that we deliver great products and delight our
customers while changing the world of additive manufacturing.Note:
This role is based in our Redwood City, CA office and would require
4-5 days/week in the office. Carbon adheres to strict safety
protocols and follows CDC guidelines.Responsibilities:--- Be part
of the entire product life-cycle of printer and accessories
development programs. Provide feedback and contribute in keydesign
decisions.--- Lead requirements development and tracking, system
integration, and testing for product or feature releases.---
Collaborate closely with our ME, EE, SW, Optics, Materials and
other Systems Engineers through requirements analysis,
design,prototyping, integration/test and product release phases.---
Become the expert on your system's functional requirements, design
and behaviors. Analyze design options, specify systemrequirements,
participate in design reviews, create and execute test plans, and
troubleshoot issues.--- Create and maintain documentation to enable
effective knowledge transfer throughout the company.--- Collaborate
with operations, product support and customer service teams to
ensure the right infrastructure and processes are inplace.Skills
and Requirements:--- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related
technical degree.--- 5+ years of relevant experience developing
complex, multi-disciplinary systems.--- Flexible problem-solver:
Comfortable developing, integrating, and testing equipment using
skills from a range of engineeringdisciplines (especially
mechanical, electrical, and scripting /software).--- Experience
creating test plans, developing test fixtures, and performing
hands-on testing at the subsystem and systems level.--- Analyze
large sets of raw data, arrive at relevant conclusions and present
to larger audience.Nice to have:--- Experience maintaining
requirements and translating top-level requirements into detailed
specifications for complex electro-mechanical assemblies,
especially capital equipment.--- Experience identifying,
qualifying, and managing turnkey suppliers.--- Familiarity with
common requirements for safety and reliability of industrial and
laboratory equipment.--- Understand how to use statistical analysis
for reliability testing and for validating system specs /
performance.--- Scripting and UI development expertise for
automated tools with motion control, sensors, and/or machine vision
components.--- Fluidics, pneumatics, and controls experience.---
Successfully transitioned a design from concept to production.---
Experience in a production environment and comfort working with
technicians on the manufacturing floor as well as in the lab.You do

At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully
consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. The
pay range for this position is $124,000 - $186,000. Your actual
salary will be based on your experience, work location,
certifications and the unique skills you bring to the role. Carbon
