CONSUMER LOAN FUNDER This position is 100% onsite at our corporate HQ in Redwood City, CA Job Summary:Provide outstanding service to members. Audit new loan/Visa requests for accuracy. Fund consumer loan and VISA requests. Process loan payoffs and title releases. Support Loan Consultants and DMV Specialists.Why Provident:Provident Credit Union was established in 1950. Our mission is we Listen, Get Better and Do What's Right for each other and our membersEssential Functions:Review all consumer loan and credit card packages for accuracy of information, observance of credit granting guidelines, and completeness of documentation.Fund internal consumer loan and Visa requests. When applicable, open new memberships and establish ACH requests associated with new loan requests.Prepare loan checks and disclosures on all funded loans.Process any re-disclosure requests when needed.Forward any applicable paperwork to Records Department for scanning.Process semi-annual skip-a-pay requests.Provide daily support to Loan Consultants and DMV Specialists.Respond to service inquiries from third parties, members and credit union staff.Respond to service requests within core and secure email per our service standards.Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all the internal operating procedures within the Consumer Lending Department as well as applicable consumer laws and regulations.Review un-posted VIP credit line loans checks and reorder VIP credit line checks for members.Process loan payoffs and title releases for paid off vehicle loans.Complete SAR (Suspicious Activity Reports) when applicable.Performs other duties as assigned.Excellent listening and speaking skills.Excellent written communication skills.Complete required BSA & OFAC training annually.Understand and adhere to BSA and OFAC policy and proceduresEducation/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:High School diploma1+ years of experience in financial institution with clerical and/or data entry experience.Incumbent must have good working knowledge of California Credit Union law and rules and regulations, Provident Board Policies, NCUA Rules and Regulations, Consumer Lending Department policies and procedures.Prior working knowledge of MeridianLink (LPQ) a bonus.Must be able to work 100% onsite at corporate HQ for the first 90 daysBenefits you will enjoy:Fully paid health insurance premiums for employeesQuality medical, dental and vision care coverage401(k) retirement plan with up to 150% matching employer contributionsStrong commitment to investing in your career and educational advancement by offering up to 100% Tuition reimbursement for approved coursesAnnual bonus/profit sharingGenerous paid time off and paid holidaysFlexible spending accountsShort and long-term disability coverageLife and AD&D insuranceProvident membershipWellness programs: Yoga, Tai Chi, in-house gymRate discount on home, auto loans and personal loansWalking distance to restaurantsClose proximity to Cal Train stationOpportunity to use company owned condo in Maui and Lake TahoeCompensation:Pay Grade is A3.
