The Sr. Energy Storage Systems Engineer establishes and implements
requirements of the Energy Storage System (ESS) and its related
components. The position partners with ESS leaders to determine
requirements of system and component function, performance, safety,
reliability, and certification for eVTOL application, and creates
verification and validation plans to ensure development per
Aerospace Recommended Practice guidelines, ARP4754A. The role works
closely with different engineering fields and collaborates with
other HW/SW/Cell Engineers on the Battery team and other
multi-functional team members (System/Safety engineers) to craft
matching processes and tools for required compliance activities.

This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week. What you
can do: Establishes and implements requirements for Energy Storage
Systems and related components in partnership with ESS technical
leadership Review engineering hardware/ system development cycle
data for BMS/ESS for certification process conformance Populate
system and component level requirements using management tool (IBM
DOORS) Analyze the technical aspects of development in design,
verification, or validation phases for technical difficulty, DAL
assessment, and justification Integrate processes of ARP4754A in
the hardware development lifecycle, and support system team to
secure and ensure certification Audit engineering activities for
compliance, report, and watch for non-conformances against the
standards for BMS/ESS system and subsystems towards airworthiness
regulations including DO254A, DO178C, DO160G, and others as needed
Identify process improvements to meet the certification
requirements and improve metric gathering methods Participate in
change control board to review audit process and artifacts and
coordinate with system designers and certification engineers
Support regulatory agencies during audits, reviews, and assessments
May require up to 25% of domestic and international travel Other
duties as assigned What you can contribute: Bachelor's degree in
systems engineering, electrical engineering or related field
required; Master's or PhD degree preferred (an equivalent
combination of education and experience may be considered) Minimum
five (5) years of experience in an aerospace certification projects
(automotive or other industries with high voltage systems will be
considered) Experience in developing plans and implementation for
electrical and electronic systems complaint to DO254A and DO160G
requirements Ability to review installation considerations to
resolve applicable environmental conditions for qualification and
DO160G testing Basic knowledge for electronic and electrical
systems and subsystems for aerospace or other industries with high
voltage systems Good understanding of safety-critical component
development and design Highly motivated and has strong proficiency
towards detailed and highly thorough development processes and
decision making Ability to build shared networks among peers and
multi-functional teams quickly Proactive delivery of communication
and follow-up Excellent skills required in technical communication,
and reliance on data for issue resolution and decision making Sense
of urgency, proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Experience
with engineering support tools for requirements and configuration
management such as IBM Rational Doors, 3D EXP, or other Proficiency
with MS Office Suite specifically for data analysis, document

may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and
location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of
