  Responsibilities
  Position Summary: This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Operating Room, under the direction of Surgical Services, In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Operating Room SPD Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families.   Minimum:
  • One year of full time experience as a central service technician. Six months experience in processing and assembly of surgical instruments.
  • One year of full time experience as a central service technician required.
  • Experience requirement may be waived for individuals who have successfully completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
  • High School diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Central Service Technician certification by a recognized Central Service Organization (CRCST) required.

    Qualifications One year of full time experience as a central service technician required. Six months experience in processing and assembly of surgical instruments required. One year of full time experience as a central service technician required. High School diploma or its equivalent required. Central Service Technician certification by a recognized Central Service Organization (CRCST) required.
