Responsibilities
The Lab Technician I is responsible for performing routine patient
care duties such as collecting blood specimens at all laboratory
sites. Other duties include detailed specimen handling and
performing a limited scope of technical duties in compliance with
State and Federal regulations, under the direction of the
laboratory section supervisor, the Laboratory Manager and the
Medical Director of the Laboratory. -Phlebotomy experience
(including venous, arterial and capillary puncture techniques)
within one year. Two years laboratory experience preferred.This
position requires knowledge in basic human anatomy, physiology and
medical terminology as it applies to the laboratoryCurrent
California State Clinical Phlebotomy License. - - (CT PHLEBOT)

Qualifications
Phlebotomy experience (including venous, arterial and capillary
puncture techniques) within one year. Minimum of 3-5 years combined
experience in healthcare industry Two years laboratory experience
preferred. Completion of annual safety training. Completes and
maintains required unit specific training. This position requires
knowledge in basic human anatomy, physiology and medical
terminology as it applies to the laboratory. Current California
State Clinical Phlebotomy License or Proof of application to the
State Clinical Phlebotomy License.
