Our future is bright with promise!POSITION SUMMARYProvides support to member transaction areas, including but not limited to checking, incoming mail, scanning, Shared Branching, Levies/IRS Withholdings, ATM services and adjustments, and investment administration. Provides timely and efficient processing on member checking account exception items to meet Federal regulations. Processes wire transactions via Fedline Advantage. Work hours are assigned based on business needs and may change, with notice, from time to time.Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2pm. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the quality control of all documents processing including document scanning and indexing and Check21 proceduresProcesses wires via Fedline AdvantageMaintenance and review of assigned general ledgers pertaining to departmental processesProcess checking account exception item reports, verify available funds to cover checks on members' account, and verify sources of overdraft protectionComplete Domestic Check CollectionsSupport payment postings for other departmentsSupport branches In-House ATM Deposit Adjustments via the Cooperative networkProcess and balance Shared Branching adjustmentsProcessing of subpoenas, summons, search warrants and member researchProcess, verify and scan stop payment requestsProcess Levies/IRS WithholdingsProcess and balance ATM reports to coincide to prior day's settlement. Post any deposit discrepancies to member accounts accordingly (i.e. ATMC)Process Verifications of Deposits, Photocopy requests, check orders/reorders (received by mail), address changes (received by mail), return mail, deposit, withdrawals, CD and various types of account researchProcess verification of deposits for SSA_SSIActs as administrator for various investment products, (IRA, HSA, etc.)Review ATM Deposit report for deposit holds and makes decisions based upon account relationships and activityPerforms other duties as assignedMust comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets ControlProvides service that aligns with SMCU's Culture2 philosophy: We improve people's lives, we solve problems when others won't and what's best for you comes first for us.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
